About Peak Performance Massage
Massage is one of the earliest remedial practices of humankind and is said to be the most natural and instinctive means of relieving pain and discomfort.
Massage Therapy has a range of applications and treatment goals: muscular and general relaxation, stress reduction, pain management, recovery from injury and health promotion.
The physiological benefits of Massage are numerous and far reaching. The manipulation of muscles, ligaments and tendons promotes the lengthening of and a more efficient performance of the body as a whole.
The most obvious advantages resulting from regular massage treatments are:
Improvement in Physical performance
Assistance in the recovery of fatigued and/or tense muscles
Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow—the body’s natural defense system
Improvement in posture, Promote tissue regeneration, reducing scar tissue and stretch marks,Increase joint flexibility, Release endorphins—amino acids that work as the body’s natural painkiller
